We Speak Hardware

The American ideal: Barack, Hillary, John, Gavin and Cole Hardware too...

This has been a truly astonishing year. The elongated primary season brought us an African American man, a woman and a senior citizen all longing to be president. How exciting that our two candidates for President this year will be Democrat Barack Obama and a moderate Republican, John McCain! Also, our own Gavin Newsom’s courage to stand up for gay marriage has been upheld by the California Supreme Court.

For me, Newsom, Obama, McCain and Clinton are representative of the American ideal. We are moving towards a society in which the quality of the individual reigns supreme while thoughts of race, gender and sexual orientation are finally becoming issues of less consequence. Certainly we have a long way to go, but we’re moving forward – and that is a sweet thought!

Cole Hardware has been fostering that same American Ideal. We are so proud that our staff is a beautiful kaleidoscope of cultures and lifestyles: a true reflection of the diverse city in which we live. We like to celebrate our diversity annually by presenting to you a photographic sample of the many languages in which we speak hardware!

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of maintaining our level of outstanding customer service, folks might forget what we do best: We speak hardware. In fact, we communicate “hardware” in a myriad of languages: Spanish, German, Chinese, Taglog and Russian too. Every day in our stores a wondrous blend of languages can be heard – even English too!

Daily we teach, serve, support our community and do whatever it takes—in many languages—to provide stellar customer service, fulfilling our simple mission: “Our commitment to you: Your satisfaction guaranteed. Period.”
