Our Visit from the State Department
In May, our motto, “There are no strangers here; just friends we haven’t met yet”, took on a whole new meaning. Our Mission Street store hosted a green tour of our business for the State Department’s International Visitor Leadership program. Laurose and the Mission Street crew led a group of visitors from 23 different countries on a tour of our store. People from Afghanistan all the way to Zambia were introduced to our earth friendly practices.
Besides diplomatic and political missions, the State Department also focuses on economic development around the world. This program highlights the impact of American small businesses on the local, regional, national and global economies. We were greatly honored that Cole Hardware was asked to participate.

and generate community involvement. While visiting, the tour members signed up for our Hardware e-Hotline so that we can continue a dialogue about progressive small business practices and recycling.
