Request a partnership.
 |
- On your school’s or non-profit’s stationery, write us a letter stating that you wish to participate. Include your tax I.D. number and the name of the executive director or prinicipal.
- Include your email address, as well as the names and email addresses of
other people within the group who would like to stay in contact with us with
regard to future updates to the School and Community Assistance Partnership Program, donation announcements and information about special opportunities for our community partners.
- Include the group’s web site address so that we can link our web site to yours. We also ask that you link your web site to http://www.colehardware.com. (Click here for sample copy and images.)
- Mail the letter to: Community Partners Program ~ Cole Hardware ~ 956 Cole Street ~ San Francisco,
CA 94117 or fax it to 415/753-0957.
- You may send your letter to julia@colehardware.com as an email attachment, if you like. The letter must be written on the official stationery of the school or non-profit organization. It may not be solely an email request.
- Cole Hardware’s School and Community Assistance Partnership Program is available only to schools and organizations within San Francisco and its neighboring communities.

Within two weeks of submitting your letter, we'll email your group's new account number.

Promote the partnership with Cole Hardware within your community!
|
|
Every time a member of your community shops in any of our stores, you want them to mention their “friendship” with your group. Our cashiers will then post their transaction to your special account number, which will earn your school or non-profit organization dollars in return.
The more you promote the partnership, the more enriched your group will become by our program!

Publish an ad in your organization’s newsletter. At right is a sample ad.

As a member organization you’ll receive the following benefits:
|
- 10% of all purchases made by members of your community within our stores will be donated directly back to your school or non-profit organization. A Cole Hardware Gift Card will be sent to the group for this amount. It can then be used to purchase needed supplies within our stores. Or it can be “auctioned” at your next fund-raiser.
- We will donate a Cole Hardware Gift Card to be “auctioned” at your next fundraiser. You just need to send a formal request to the above address on your group’s stationery (please include the tax I.D. number, too).
- Cole Hardware will also donate cases of Clearly Cole Hardware®, our special bottled spring water, to an organization’s fundraising events to be sold or given away—whichever brings the most benefit. Please give us at least three weeks’ notice!
- You will receive periodic email newsletters and announcements about
special programs, offers and opportunities for our customers and members of the School and Community Assistance Partnership Program.
- Upon request, we’ll provide you with a template of membership cards for your group. The card can be used as a reminder to your group’s members to take advantage of the gift card rebate program while shopping in our stores.
- To receive a discount on supplies for classroom and school improvement projects, teachers and principals in the San Francisco school district can register with us by emailing julia@colehardware.com
- Nonprofit groups in San Francisco can receive a discount on supplies for community improvement projects (reviewed on a case-by-case basis). Email julia@colehardware.com
- On Partner Shopping Days we will offer your group a special discount and apply the purchases to your group’s account.
- Your organization will be listed in our monthly newsletter, the Hardware Hotline, and on this web site, and we’ll link from our site to yours (see Community Partnership Program and School Partnership Program pages).
